Free: Spirals?
I’m still not sure if you’re real or not. Still, I wrote this for you. Rather, this was written for you – my existence no less debatable than yours, or the nature of existence entire. What it means to be real seems contextual, and context changes. In the end, it is all a form of play. That is what we want, is it not? To play? Or at least, for there to be play. Those of us who do not want to play, we work, so that others may play. Writing this was a labour of love, somebody has observed. Working with words, in this case. A labour of love, so there may be play. Play with words, words, words.
This is a collection of seventeen short stories and flash fiction, as well as circular, incoherent musings on the nature of reality (and things that may, or may not exist within it). Free on Kindle.

Cade Weston, a local handsome rancher provides moral support and is very protective, which comes in handy when evil men decide Hatta is a liability and would like to get rid of her.
A sample review from for book one of the series:
I loved this book! The story captivated me from the beginning to the end. Hatta is living in California when she learns she inherited a flower shop and home from her grandmother in Salmon, Idaho. The inheritance comes with a stipulation: she must live there and run the shop for 90 days. She is barely settled in when the community’s most hated and feared man is killed and some are looking at her suspiciously. Her grandmother’s spirit is there to help and guide Hatta while letting her find her own way.
The characters and atmosphere are what makes this book really special. I finished the last sentence with a feeling of warmth and love and acceptance from the book.
Thanks to Lily Briar for allowing me to read this ARC.
Cozy down with this series and you won’t be disappointed.

Brokenness Becomes Beautiful: Inspiring Pieces of Poetry
Brokenness Becomes Beautiful is a raw, honest, and deeply human poetry collection by Terence Ang, an award-winning Singaporean author whose life changed after a stroke left him with aphasia, reshaping his voice and creative journey through struggle, perseverance, and self-reflection.
These poems were born out of searching — through questioning, reflection, and the difficult process of learning to live with change. Terence explores how moments of fracture can become places where truth, healing, strength, and transformation begin.
Moving through themes of self-discovery, self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-love, self-healing, self-care, self-growth, and self-empowerment, Brokenness Becomes Beautiful creates a compassionate space where vulnerability is honoured, honesty becomes strength, and becoming is recognised as its own kind of beauty.
At the heart of the collection is also a story of voice. Living with aphasia changed the way Terence communicates, but it did not silence what he wanted to say. Through poetry, he found another way to express thoughts, emotions, frustrations, hopes, and possibilities beyond spoken words.
Since its release in 2026, Brokenness Becomes Beautiful has reached international literary audiences, with appearances at the American Library Association Annual Conference 2026 in Chicago, the 15th Annual New York City Poetry Festival, and the International Dublin Writers Festival 2026. These appearances brought Terence’s story of stroke, aphasia, resilience, and reclaiming voice to wider audiences.
The collection has also received meaningful praise from Debra Meyerson and Steve Zuckerman, co-authors of Identity Theft: Rediscovering Ourselves After Stroke and Co-Founders and Co-Chairs of Stroke Onward, who wrote:
“Thank you, Terence, for writing this book. You so beautifully capture the experience of millions of stroke survivors living with aphasia – frustration, opportunity, hope, beauty and so much more. Such powerful impact by not letting aphasia silence your voice.”
Gentle yet powerful, this is a collection for anyone who has ever felt wounded, lost, changed, or uncertain about what comes next, yet continues to move forward. It reminds us that brokenness does not have to be the end of the story; within the cracks, deeper understanding, strength, and unexpected beauty can emerge.
Brokenness Becomes Beautiful is ultimately a celebration of the courage to keep becoming — and a reminder that even in brokenness, something beautiful may already be taking shape. $0.99 on Kindle.
