Jack Bell is a builder and unwitting sleuth in this twelve book series. Each stand-alone novel has a murder and some romance. There are a variety of settings including an an apartment block, a school, a cemetery, a park, a guest house and several houses ranging from a millionaire couple to those just getting by. Never flush for cash, Jack has his living to make amidst the mayhem, becoming at various times prime suspect, sleuth and, too often, finding out more than enough for his own good.
