Free: Ordinary Parents Raising Extraordinary Children (Book 1 of 2)

Free: Ordinary Parents Raising Extraordinary Children (Book 1 of 2)
We are on a quest in life and if we must achieve success then, we have to rest, know who we are and what we want in life. The journey to ultimate success in life is never an easy one. There are often difficulties and challenges, which are sometimes, insurmountable. Life does not require the most intelligent brains or the smartest minds to succeed but requires the determination to keep going in spite of the aches and the courage to overcome fears, doubts, and those challenges as well. It requires positive thinking. And once you discover who you are, our gifts and talents, and what you want in life, you will almost certainly achieve success.

As a parent of young children, there are two things that you must understand: When a child is born, the subconscious mind is wide open. So, everything the child hears, sees, tastes, smells, and touches are planted in their subconscious mind. This goes on for four to five years until the conscious faculties have time to develop.

Whatever has been presented to the child’s mind will eventually develop since the subconscious mind must accept everything that is presented to it; it has no ability to reject. It is the most important stage in life as it is during this time that the child is being conditioned. The child’s conditioning regarding the his or her confidence, learning ability, relationship building, and concept of health and wealth will determine the child’s future.

Our children are our future. The future of our country and the world in general rests on their shoulders. To help them thrive and take the world further in glory, we must ensure that we teach them how to think and guide them in unleashing their full potential. We must show them a world that is full of hope, and opportunities for everyone to develop their gifts and to have a great impact. To achieve such goals, we too must have a positive mindset. I will be honored to help you develop your mindset and guide you towards developing your children too. Free on Kindle.

Free: Self Defense

Free: Self Defense

The author, a former police officer and self-defense instructor, was motivated to write this book because of the UN report that up to three million women are murdered annually and many more raped. This victimization could be reduced considerably if women understood the concept of “Deadly Attack Survival”. This book was written primarily with women, small men and seniors in mind, but the tactics apply to everyone.

I used to believe, as do most martial art and self-defense experts, that self-defense cannot be learned from a book…you must receive lessons from an actual instructor. After training in China for several years, I have changed my mind on that subject. I still agree that most self-defense skills must be physically taught by a qualified instructor, but this book is about the one unique exception to that rule.

This book is not is not just about personal protection, self-defense tips or self-defense for women, it is much more than that. It is pointless to learn numerous self-defense techniques yet they don’t come to your aid, mentally or physically when under attack.

You only need to know one or two techniques to defeat any attacker, but before that, you must understand how your mind has been pre-conditioned over a lifetime to be fearful and intimidated by big, strong, aggressive men. Once you have read this book, you will understand that these men are as vulnerable as any teenage girl. Once you overcome this pre-conditioning and learn how to program your mind to react automatically and instinctively to an attack, it will change you forever…you will have achieved personal power. Free: STUFF: The Fortunes, Foibles, and Fiascos of Those Who Sought to Understand Matter

Free: STUFF: The Fortunes, Foibles, and Fiascos of Those Who Sought to Understand Matter
From Archimedes’ bathtub to Schrödinger’s cat, the reader follows the dramatic and humorous events in the history of the ongoing struggle to understand the basic nature of matter and, in the process, painlessly absorbs all the major concepts of middle school physical science.

The structure of the book takes advantage of the fact that basic concepts about the nature of matter were discovered in roughly the same sequence they are taught. The book begins with the ancient Greeks, who first talked about atoms from a viewpoint that was more philosophical than scientific. The story of the next 2,000 years highlights the events and characters in the history of the study of matter. The book ends on the note that all the knowledge we have gained has led us back to asking philosophical questions such as, “Why does matter exist?” The tone is one of whimsy, weirdness, and irreverence. Although historical events are embellished or even completely fabricated for comic effect, it is always clear that the science is accurate. I see the book as a supplement to a middle school physical science class. It should appeal to students who can’t get enough of science and to those looking for something less boring than their textbook. Free on Kindle.
