Hardship and Bliss: Reflections for Mothers Who Seek Connection

Hardship and Bliss: Reflections for Mothers Who Seek Connection
Motherhood can be divinely rewarding but also extremely challenging. “Hardship and Bliss” is a collection of poems revealing the breadth of how it feels to be a mother. Magdalena Sabatino writes about this vulnerable journey, sharing joyful peak moments as well as the valleys of loneliness, exhaustion, and a crisis of identity.

The book is an invitation to consciously parent; to create deep, compassionate relationships with one’s children; and to craft lives full of meaning, joy, and peace. Magdalena’s authentic voice encourages her readers to be gentle with themselves, abandon the desire for perfection, and embrace the pleasures of being present with each other and themselves. $0.99 on Kindle.

Free: Ordinary Parents Raising Extraordinary Children (Book 1 of 2)

Free: Ordinary Parents Raising Extraordinary Children (Book 1 of 2)
We are on a quest in life and if we must achieve success then, we have to rest, know who we are and what we want in life. The journey to ultimate success in life is never an easy one. There are often difficulties and challenges, which are sometimes, insurmountable. Life does not require the most intelligent brains or the smartest minds to succeed but requires the determination to keep going in spite of the aches and the courage to overcome fears, doubts, and those challenges as well. It requires positive thinking. And once you discover who you are, our gifts and talents, and what you want in life, you will almost certainly achieve success.

As a parent of young children, there are two things that you must understand: When a child is born, the subconscious mind is wide open. So, everything the child hears, sees, tastes, smells, and touches are planted in their subconscious mind. This goes on for four to five years until the conscious faculties have time to develop.

Whatever has been presented to the child’s mind will eventually develop since the subconscious mind must accept everything that is presented to it; it has no ability to reject. It is the most important stage in life as it is during this time that the child is being conditioned. The child’s conditioning regarding the his or her confidence, learning ability, relationship building, and concept of health and wealth will determine the child’s future.

Our children are our future. The future of our country and the world in general rests on their shoulders. To help them thrive and take the world further in glory, we must ensure that we teach them how to think and guide them in unleashing their full potential. We must show them a world that is full of hope, and opportunities for everyone to develop their gifts and to have a great impact. To achieve such goals, we too must have a positive mindset. I will be honored to help you develop your mindset and guide you towards developing your children too. Free on Kindle.

Free: I Can’t Say That!: Going Beyond “The Talk”

Free: I Can’t Say That!: Going Beyond “The Talk”
Gender Identity. Pornography. Hook-up culture. Same-Sex Attraction. Masturbation. Abuse.

These issues are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what our children are being forced to navigate at increasingly younger ages. As a parent, are you leading your family in conversations, so that your voice is the first one they hear on these sensitive issues? Do you
know what the Bible says—and doesn’t say—on the issues surrounding sexuality and gender?

Do your children know what you believe and why you believe it?

You are not alone if you feel as though you don’t know how and when to have these conversations. Many parents worry about having “The Talk” with their children because they are concerned about bringing it up too early, they are uncomfortable talking about sex, or they feel unprepared to answer questions that their child might ask. In I Can’t Say That!, Dr. Gilbert walks parents through age-appropriate conversations and teaches parents how to create a culture of conversation through micro-conversations.

In his roles as a counselor and professor, Dr. Gilbert has heard repeatedly from young adults that they never had conversations about the complicated issues surrounding sexuality with their parents and they wish that they had. His motivation in I Can’t Say That! is to equip parents with the information they need so that they can, in turn, equip their children to make choices from a biblical sexual ethic.
