This novel takes the reader on a virtual trip to the past along with history professor Merrideth Randall as she uses her time-rewinding computer software to search for the location of the early American Fort Piggot. Her colleague, physics professor Brett Garrison, wants to date her, but she thinks that would be career suicide in a small town college. And she had no intention of revealing the existence of her software to him, or he would feel compelled to announce it to the scientific world. The trouble is, Brett is intent on romance—and very curious.
