I loved this little novel. It has it all: love, seduction, friendship, and betrayal, all beneath the backdrop of Nazi-occupied Paris during WWII. The two main characters Miriam, an up-and-coming Jewish fashion designer, and Mary, an expatriate Irish prostitute, are strong and proud and determined to persevere against insurmountable odds.
