Holocaust Underground (Nonfiction)

Holocaust Underground (Nonfiction)
Tibor and Sarlota Weiss met while hiding in a German doctor’s cellar during the Holocaust. It was not, however, a soap opera-style romance. The times were tough…but the people were tougher. These two amazing Survivors, my grandparents, did a long, detailed interview about their early lives, their journey through the horrible years of the Holocaust and then on to rebuilding their lives. Marriage and and family life (the birth of their one son) signaled a good start at revival. Unfortunately, their homeland of Czechoslovakia was being taken over by communists. First they escaped Hitler, now Stalin was approaching. Once again, they were left with no good options but decided to quickly move to Israel. This was another very challenging three year pit stop. From there, they joined Sarlota’s only surviving sibling and moved to the United States.

The honesty, introspection and thoughfulness displayed during these interviews will amaze the reader. These were two incredible individuals who were also life’s quintessential winners. This journey will enlighten, inspire and educate readers of all backgrounds. Get ready to jump back in time and engage with the best and worst parts of the human spirit. $3.25 on Kindle.
